Dogplayingpoker.com is an editorial site that earns money through affiliate links. When you click a link on this site and buy a print, framed reproduction, canvas, or other product from a third-party retailer, we may receive a small commission from that retailer.

This commission costs you nothing extra. The price you pay is the same as if you had navigated to the retailer directly.

We are members of the following affiliate programs:

We do not accept payment from individual sellers to feature their products. Editorial selections are made by our editor based on print quality, paper stock, price, and how well the reproduction holds up next to the original painting. We have no relationship with the Coolidge estate or any retailer beyond the standard affiliate terms above.

If a product on this site stops being available, or a retailer's quality drops below the bar we set, we remove it.

Privacy

What we collect. Standard anonymized server logs (IP address, user agent, referrer, page visited). We use Plausible Analytics, which does not use cookies and does not track individuals across sites.

What we don't collect. We do not run advertising trackers. We do not sell or share user data. We do not require an account to read this site.

Cookies. The only cookies we set are session cookies required for affiliate-link attribution, and only after you click an affiliate link. The retailer's cookies are governed by their own policies.

Newsletter. If you sign up for our occasional newsletter, your email is stored with a third-party email service (Buttondown). We use it only to send the newsletter. Unsubscribe with one click from any email.

Your rights. If you're in California, the EU, or the UK, you have the right to request what data we hold on you and to ask us to delete it. Email us at the address below.

Editorial Policy

This site is an independent editorial project. We are not affiliated with the Coolidge estate, the Brown & Bigelow corporation, or any museum, gallery, or auction house. Mentions of those entities are factual or critical and made in good faith.

• We do not fabricate sales figures, customer review counts, or star ratings.
• Star ratings on product cards reflect editorial judgment, not aggregated customer reviews. Where we cite a price, we link to the live retailer page; prices change.
• We correct errors. If you find one, email us. We will fix the page and note the correction at the bottom.

Image Rights

All sixteen paintings in the Brown & Bigelow commission (1903–1910) by Cassius Marcellus Coolidge are in the public domain in the United States, having been published before the 1929 cutoff established by the U.S. Copyright Term Extension Act.

Reproductions on this site come from public-domain scans held on Wikimedia Commons, the Library of Congress, the Brown & Bigelow corporate archive, and auction house catalogs from public sales. Where we know the provenance of a specific scan, we credit it in the painting's entry on The Series page.

Affiliate product photos on the Buy Prints page are studio-style mockups generated by Pet Pic Portraits' image-generation pipeline to give a consistent visual of each retailer's reproduction. They are not photographs of specific retailer listings.
